Our fourth wedding Anniversary was one I will never forget. A few days prior on the 19th we got the news his father had passed away. My husband had talked about how he was going to surprise me for our anniversary and I was so excited. When the day came I told him we didn’t have to do anything I felt selfish trying to celebrate at a time when we were grieving and planning a funeral. He told me “no my father would have wanted us to celebrate” so we did. He had planned this dinner weeks in advance. He looked up the most romantic restaurants in Denver and found this wonderful place called Beatrice & Woodsley. He wouldn’t tell me where we were going so I didn’t find out until we walked in and what a pleasant surprise it was. This place reminded me of being in a storybook fairy tale with all it’s cute decor and ambiance. As soon as they sat us at our table this beautiful card was waiting for us with a sweet message from my husband. We have a tradition of planning a trip on our anniversary so this year we went to Huntington Beach in August for a much needed getaway. Year 3 has definitely presented its challenges but we get through anything together. Year 4 we are looking forward to continuing to tackle what life has in store.
