We had such a wonderful time exploring all that San Antonio had to offer. I booked this trip in July because Frontier was having an amazing flight deal that I couldn’t pass up. I had always wanted to see the River Walk so why not head down to Texas. Last year we visited Vegas for our anniversary and felt the need to start a tradition where we go somewhere every year. I am so glad we went on this trip because we had so much fun. Our hotel was centrally located downtown and was walking distance to the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk was not what I thought it was going to be in the sense that I thought there would be more railings so you wouldn’t fall in the water. Nope, not the case and when it would get crowded you would really need to watch out so you wouldn’t get to close to the edge. We had dinner along the Riverwalk the first night and had Tex Mex food and plenty of yummy margaritas. We got the chance to visit the San Antonio Zoo and basically felt like we had it all to ourselves perhaps because we went on a Monday. Afterwards we walked to the Japanese Tea Garden and enjoyed all of its scenery. On the day of our actual anniversary we went to dinner at this restaurant called Chart House that was located in the Tower of the Americas. If you’ve never seen or heard of it, it basically looks similar to the space needle. When I was looking up things to do in San Antonio and I saw it, I just knew we would have to check it out. The best part was when I realized they had a restaurant and I knew that is where we would have dinner. The Mango Mojito was so delicious my husband even took a picture of the recipe. The Torch of Friendship was also a very cool sculpture that when I took the picture I didn’t realize it had its own Snapchat filter. You can see the Tower of the Americas in the background and notice how tall it is. These trips are meant to bring us together and reminisce on the joyful years of marriage we have had and to plan for the future. Thank you God for blessing me with such an amazing husband. Here’s to many more fun-filled trips with my best friend ❤
